Our promise in plain English: On October 18, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM PST (5 hours only), we'll donate £2.00 GBP for every qualifying game download across all Staple Games titles. Our maximum donation is capped at $50,000 USD. Thank you for helping solve The Curious Case of the Copper Key!
1. Who we are
Staple Games, LLC. (called "Staple Games," "we," or "us").
2. Campaign Period
Starts: 9:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST) October 18, 2025
Ends: 2:00 p.m. PST October 18, 2025
This is a one-day, 5-hour special event. The campaign will not be extended.
3. How the donation works
- Donation amount: £2.00 GBP per qualifying game download.
- Overall cap: $50,000 USD total.
- Exchange rate: The GBP to USD conversion will be calculated using the exchange rate on October 18, 2025, as published by our bank.
- Eligible games: All Staple Games titles available on iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
Once the $50,000 USD cap is reached, the campaign ends immediately even if time remains.
4. What counts as a "Qualifying Download"?
A download counts when all of these are true:
- It is a new installation of any Staple Games title from the iOS App Store or Google Play Store; and
- The download occurs during the Campaign Period (9:00 AM - 2:00 PM PST on October 18, 2025); and
- The user opens and launches the game at least once during or within 24 hours after the Campaign Period; and
- Our analytics platform records the download and first launch as genuine (not a bot, duplicate device, emulator, VPN farm, or other fraudulent traffic).
Note: Re-downloads or updates of already installed games do not count. One qualifying download per unique device ID per game title.
5. Eligibility & "No purchase necessary"
Anyone, anywhere can generate donations—no payment, purchase, or in-app spend is required. The game download itself is free. Void where prohibited by law.
6. How we count and remit donations
- Initial tally: Within 48 hours after the campaign ends, we'll compile preliminary download counts from our analytics platforms.
- Audit period: We have 14 days from the campaign end date to complete our audit of qualifying downloads, removing any fraudulent or duplicate activity.
- Final donation: By November 1, 2025, we'll donate the final audited amount (up to $50,000 USD) to the designated charity.
- Transparency: We'll post the final donation amount and receipt at staplegames.com/copper-key within 30 days.
7. Privacy
We log anonymous device IDs, download timestamps, and first-launch data to verify activity and fight fraud. For details, read our Privacy Policy. This Campaign also incorporates and is subject to our Terms of Use except where those Terms conflict with these Campaign Terms. We do not sell your data.
8. Good-faith adjustments
If technical issues, fraud, or other factors threaten the integrity of the campaign, we may pause, adjust, or end it early. We'll act in good faith and post any changes at staplegames.com/copper-key immediately.
9. Independent promotion
Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not sponsors or participants in this promotion.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA.
